Colorado Springs smoke shop victim of smash-and-grab theft early Saturday morning

Motorcyclist killed in crash under South Circle Drive bridge Friday night

Colorado Springs Police are investigating an overnight burglary that occurred at H&F Smoke Shop and left the business damaged by a vehicle.

Police reported that shortly after 3 a.m., a vehicle had run through the front of a business on the 3000 block of North Hancock Avenue and five suspects were seen running into the building.

An employee with H&F confirmed with the Gazette that they were the victims of the burglary.

The suspects then ran to another waiting vehicle to leave the scene while the vehicle that ran through the building was left behind. Officers arrived minutes later after the suspects left the area.

The officers determined that both vehicles used in the crime were unreported stolen vehicles. Security camera footage showed five people entering and stealing an undetermined amount of merchandise.

Detectives from CSPD’s Metro Burglary Unit responded to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.
