Colorado Springs police are investigating an incident that left two men hospitalized with stab wounds early Sunday, according to an online blotter entry.

Police dispatch received multiple calls, beginning at about 12:45 a.m., about an injured person near Galley Road and Murray Boulevard. Two of the callers said a male was bleeding on the ground in a roadway, police said.

Responding officers found a male with stab wounds near Murray Boulevard and Maxwell Road.

At about the same time, the CSPD communications center received a call about a stabbing in a nearby apartment. Officers found a second male with stab wounds at the residence.

Both patients were taken to a hospital with “serious” injuries, police said.

Investigators determined that the incidents were related, occurring after an argument inside the apartment escalated to a double stabbing, and one of the injured males fled the scene before being located on Murray Boulevard.

No arrests were announced in connection with the incident.
