Even with Jaylen Waddle addition, Denver lacks fantasy firepower | 2026 Broncos Preview
After winning 14 games last season, the Broncos still are not highly regarded in fantasy football.
Most of Denver’s big-name offensive players are ranked in the middle of the pack or lower — even with the addition of wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
“The offense is perfectly average, but heavily leans into committees at each and every position, ultimately producing zero top fantasy players,” Fantasy Life’s Ian Hartitz said in his team preview.
Here’s a look at where the Broncos stand in fantasy rankings.
Analysis provided by Fantasy Life senior analyst Kendall Valenzuela.
QB Bo Nix
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 14; Yahoo: No. 12; CBS Sports: No. 16; Fantasy Life: No. 14
Analysis: “He’s not a difference maker in fantasy yet, but I think that some people are just not giving enough credit to this team going out and getting Jaylen Waddle for him.”
RB J.K. Dobbins
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 37; Yahoo: No. 31; CBS Sports: No. 33; Fantasy Life: No. 34
Analysis: “You’re just hoping that he is able to give you 10 games. He’s someone that is really good when he is out there. It’s just the injury history that makes people a little bit nervous.”
RB RJ Harvey
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 38; Yahoo: No. 38; CBS Sports: No. 38; Fantasy Life: No. 31
Analysis: “His pass-catching work sets him aside from some of these other guys that go in his range.”
WR Jaylen Waddle
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 22; Yahoo: No. 16; CBS Sports: No. 19; Fantasy Life: No. 21
Analysis: “Waddle has had great averages in his five years in Miami with not great quarterback play and sharing the field with Tyreek Hill. Now you look at him going to Denver and you see a quarterback upgrade and he is the guy now.”
WR Courtland Sutton
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 33; Yahoo: No. 44; CBS Sports: No. 34; Fantasy Life: No. 33
Analysis: “I think people are nervous about drafting him because of how many targets he gets with Waddle in the mix. We still got him projected for seven touchdowns.”
TE Evan Engram
Position rankings: ESPN: Not ranked; Yahoo: No. 30; CBS Sports: No. 27; Fantasy Life: No. 32
Analysis: “Evan Engram for me is undraftable if you’re in a league right now.”
Defense/special teams
Position rankings: ESPN: No. 2; Yahoo: No. 3; CBS Sports: No. 2; Fantasy Life: No. 6
Analysis: “You’re getting close to the end of your draft and all of a sudden you see the Texans, the Broncos, the Rams, the Seahawks and say I need to get these guys. Defenses in fantasy can help you a lot.”
