Human remains found at Lake Pueblo State Park were that of missing D-70 custodian
The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office said the human remains found Tuesday at Lake Pueblo State Park are that of Adam Todd Armstrong, 52, a school janitor who had been missing for nearly two months.
“At this time, no additional information regarding the cause or manner of death will be released pending the completion of the investigation,” the Coroner’s Office said in a release.
Armstrong was last seen July 13 in Pueblo West, where he lived, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
He was employed by Pueblo County School District 70, which continued to post on social media about his disappearance through August.
“Adam will be deeply missed, and our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him,” the school district posted on Friday.
Several days after his last sighting, a search and rescue team with a Sheriff’s Office K-9 team scoured Pueblo West and Lake Pueblo State Park, law enforcement officials said.
