Finger pushing

Start September at home with these streaming picks

“Good Will Hunting” is streaming on Peacock, making it a perfect pick for a little nostalgia, self-discovery and a reminder that you don’t have to have everything figured out — my favorite type of reminder. Starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Robin Williams, the Oscar-winning drama follows a genius but troubled young man whose life begins to change when he forms an unlikely connection with a therapist. It’s the kind of movie that might leave you laughing one minute and wiping your damp cheeks the next. — April Borjon

“Love Island USA Season 8’s” reunion picks up right where we left off in the villa, bringing the islanders back together for one more round of romance and drama. After weeks of recouplings, bombshells and challenges, the reunion gives everyone a chance to spill the tea on what’s gone down since the cameras turned off. We’ll see which relationships survived the villa, and better yet, which ones didn’t. — April Borjon

I’ve heard good things about Hulu’s “Furious,” starring Emmy Rossum as a detective hunting a serial killer while her own life is in shambles. Her main suspect is an unsuspecting young woman whom we watch inject her victims with drugs and interrogate them before killing them. It reminds me of the mesmerizing series “Killing Eve,” starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, another strong recommendation that’s streaming on Netflix and Hulu, among other platforms. — Jennifer Mulson

The fifth and final season of the action-adventure, mystery, teen drama “Outer Banks” just dropped on Netflix, completing a planned five-season arc. Set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the show follows two groups of teens – the kids of working-class locals and the kids of wealthy seasonal residents, both in search of a lost treasure. — Jennifer Mulson

As football season gets underway, a new Netflix documentary reminds us of a star we haven’t talked about in a while. Indeed, Vince Young has long been out of the spotlight — and maybe he has liked it that way, considering the controversies that plagued his short NFL career after his thrilling run at Texas. In “Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young,” he returns to the camera to share sides of the story we didn’t know. — Seth Boster
