An entire apartment complex is blocked off Tuesday morning as police investigate a possible homicide, report Gazette news partners at KKTV.

Around 1 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call about a possible shooting at the Mountain Country Estates apartments near South Academy and East Pikes Peak.

A badly injured woman was found in the parking lot when officers got on scene; she later died at an area hospital. Police are not saying what kind of injuries she had, and are calling her death suspicious right now.

Currently, no suspects have been identified. Police are combing the scene looking for any clues that might shed light on the events that led up to the woman’s death.
