The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a fatal crash Aug. 7 as 40-year-old Tracey Yost, according to a news release Monday.

Investigators determined a pickup truck was traveling northbound on North Powers Boulevard when it hit Yost at its intersection with Palmer Park Boulevard.

Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, according to the news release from police, who continue an investigation.

There have been 39 traffic fatalities in the city this year, five more than this time last year. There have been 58 such fatalities in the past 12 months.
