Nuggets announce new Altitude broadcasting crew
Noah Reed and Katy Winge are the new voices of the Nuggets.
After spending the last five years calling college basketball and football games for ESPN, NBC and Fox, Reed is coming to Denver to become the Nuggets’ primary play-by-play man.
“I am beyond honored to be named the TV play-by-play voice of the Denver Nuggets,” Reed said in a team release. “This is a first-class, successful franchise with one of the most passionate fanbases in sports that I can’t wait to be a part of. This is a dream come true for me and something I’ve spent so much time and effort striving toward. I am thrilled to make Denver home and begin connecting and interacting with Nuggets fans everywhere.”
Winge will provide the color commentary, a role she held on a part-time basis in previous seasons. She’s just the third woman to be a full-time analyst for a regional network in the NBA and has been with Altitude Sports’ Nuggets coverage for nearly a decade.
“Basketball has been an important part of my world for my entire life. I’m honored to have a bigger opportunity to break down the game and tell the stories of this Nuggets team in a new way this season,” Winge said in the release. “I can’t wait to bring my love and passion for this sport and the Nuggets to life every night alongside our talented team.”
Jason Richardson will bring his 14 years of experience as an NBA player to the broadcast as a studio analyst. He will serve as a second color analyst for select home games.
Vic Lombardi and Bill Hanzlik retain their roles with the studio show, while Lauren Gardner is back with Altitude Sports in a variety of roles, including host and reporter. She spent the last seven years working for national outlets in New York City.
The new crew will make its debut for Denver’s home opener against the Pelicans on Oct. 24.
