Nuggets learn 2026 NBA Cup opponents and schedule

The NBA’s schedule rollout continued Wednesday with the in-season tournament groups.

Denver is in the Western Conference Group A for the NBA Cup with the Rockets, Suns, Mavericks and Jazz. The Nuggets start the cup at Phoenix on Oct. 30. The Nuggets’ home games are against the Rockets on Nov. 20 and Mavericks on Nov. 24. Denver’s final group-stage game is at Utah on Nov. 27.

The games against Houston and Dallas will be broadcast on Amazon Prime and NBC, respectively.

The Thunder, Timberwolves, Clippers, Pelicans and Grizzlies are in Group B, while Group C consists of the Spurs, Lakers, Trail Blazers, Warriors and Kings.

NBA Cup group-stage games will be played Fridays from Oct. 30 to Nov. 27 and Nov. 24 and 25. Four teams from each conference, the winner of each group and one wild card advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played in home markets Dec. 4 and 5. The semifinals will be played Dec. 8 and 9 before the championship game is played at Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse on Dec. 11 in Indianapolis.

Teams who do not advance to the knockout stage will have a couple of regular-season games added to the schedule at a later date. Denver has failed to advance to the knockout stage in the first three years of the in-season tournament.

The schedule release continues with the full regular-season slate Thursday.
