Domestic assault victim stabs man in self-defense: Colorado Springs police

A Colorado Springs man was arrested on Saturday following a domestic violence incident in which he sustained multiple injuries, including stab wounds, according to an online blotter entry

The incident took place just after midnight on Saturday at a residence in the 1700 block of Kallos Loop, police said.

When officers responded to a call from a man who said he had assaulted his girlfriend, they found him in his car with an apparent injury to his nose. The man, identified as Tate Parsons, 34, was taken to a local hospital, where medical personnel found that he also had two stab wounds, officials said.

Investigators with CSPD’s domestic violence unit learned that Parsons reportedly assaulted his girlfriend, then allegedly hit the woman’s sister when she tried to intervene. Acting in self-defense, Parsons’s girlfriend stabbed him, according to police.

“Her sister struck (Parsons) in the face causing the injury to his nose,” officials said.

Parsons, who faces felony assault charges, is being held without bond at the El Paso County Jail.
