If you’re going to be served ice cream, you might as well be served by someone who looks like they’re having just as much fun as you are. At Josh & John’s downtown location at 329 N. Tejon St., the employees are so kind they make choosing your flavor feel even sweeter. 

Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday, the shop offers plenty of flavors to choose from. The Colorado Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough were both delicious, and their generous scoops made a small serving the perfect amount. While I tend to stick with the classics, Purple Mountain Majesty is next on my list. — April Borjon, The Gazette
