One person died and two were injured in a crash between a truck pulling a dump trailer and another vehicle in Colorado Springs on Thursday evening, according to a blotter entry by police.

The truck struck the vehicle as it made a left turn from Colorado 83 to Powers Boulevard.

Police say one person was pronounced deceased at the scene, and two others were injured, including one with possibly life-threatening injuries. The seriously injured person was taken to the hospital, while the other person with “visible injuries” declined transport.

Police closed the intersection for several hours for an investigation, and they do not believe speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
