Pikes Pick: Old-school Mexican food to fill you up in Colorado Springs

Miguel’s Mexican Bar and Grill either hides out of view (off Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard, tucked back between other eateries and shops) or in plain view (off 8th Street, by the 7-Eleven close to Interstate 25). Those are two of four locations in Colorado Springs, where Miguel’s started in 2005. The expansion is no wonder, we understood after a stop on 8th Street.

The Mexican food scene is increasingly trendy, but Miguel’s keeps it old school and treats you like family with friendly service and huge portions. Nothing fancy; just loaded, flavorful plates of your favorites and big glasses of margaritas.
