Manitou Springs lifts water restrictions as crews repair underground pipes
Manitou Springs lifted citywide water restrictions on Sunday evening that were prompted by a broken water main near Manitou Avenue and El Monte Place.
Crews were still repairing a broken water main near Tyler Street, with service disruptions expected to continue until the underground pipes were fully repaired, city officials said.
Residents should continue to limit their water use and avoid running their sprinklers on Sunday evening, according to a release from the city.
Some residents may notice a slight discoloration in their drinking water once crews restore water service. If this occurs, run cold water from a bathtub faucet until the water becomes clear, city officials said.
