Motorcyclist, scooter rider die in separate Colorado Springs crashes; IDs released in 3 earlier wrecks

Two people died in different crashes on Monday in which vehicles fatally struck a rider in Colorado Springs, police said.

A scooter rider was killed in a crash around 12:40 p.m. in the 400 block of North Circle Drive, according to an online blotter entry by police. No details about the circumstances of the crash were immediately available.

The crash closed North Circle Drive in both directions for several hours as police continued to investigate after ruling out speed and alcohol as contributing factors.

Earlier on Monday, a motorcyclist was fatally struck in the 4100 block of Briargate Parkway when the driver attempted to turn left onto Lexington Drive and was hit by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

In their online report, police said they believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash, which occurred around 9 a.m.

Police also announced on Monday the identities of three motorcyclists killed in crashes during the past several weeks.

  • Timothy Klock, 30, died in late May after a crash on March 5 at U.S. 24 and 21st Street. The motorcycle passenger, 30-year-old Ashley Moore, died as a result of the crash a week after it occurred.
  • Dawson Debolt, 23, was identified as the victim of a fatal crash on June 1. Debolt died at the scene at the intersection of East Fillmore Street and North Prospect Street.
  • Alexander Liscio, 24, was the victim of a fatal crash on June 6 in the 0 block of Las Vegas Street.

The death of Liscio was the 26th traffic fatality of the year. At the same time in 2025, 16 fatal traffic crashes were reported.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents can contact CSPD at 719-444-7000 or remain anonymous on the Crime Stoppers’ tip line at 719-634-7867.
