Mobius, a woman-owned small business specializing in space and missile defense, has selected Colorado Springs for its newest office, the Colorado Springs Chamber and Economic Development Corp. announced Thursday.
According to a news release, Mobius expects to create 75 net new jobs in Colorado Springs with an average annual wage of $137,000. That’s more than double the average for El Paso County.
“We’re proud to welcome Mobius to Colorado Springs, where their growth will be fueled by a highly skilled workforce and a collaborative business environment,” Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, president and CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, said in the release. “The addition of 75 high-paying jobs highlights the strong opportunities our region offers to innovative, mission-focused companies. Mobius’ expansion also reflects the unique strengths of our community — world-class talent, a deep aerospace, defense and cybersecurity ecosystem, and a supportive network of partners that help businesses succeed.”

Mobius is headquartered in Alexandria, Va., with an additional office in Huntsville, Ala., which President Donald Trump this week announced as the new location for Space Command, currently based in Colorado Springs. Mobius, according to the release, provides independent engineering and scientific advisory and assistance services to Department of Defense customers.
“We are thrilled to establish a new office in Colorado Springs, strengthening our commitment to the space and missile defense customers we proudly serve. This expansion positions us to support the growing demands of space warfighting and the exciting development of emerging programs like Golden Dome,” Mobius CEO Melaine Privitera said in the release. “Colorado Springs offers a strategic location and vibrant ecosystem that aligns perfectly with our mission and future vision.”
Mobius also considered Virginia, Washington, D.C., California and Alabama as other potential locations for this expansion, the release said.
