The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested a convicted felon on weapons charges while executing a search warrant Tuesday in the 2300 block of North Nevada Avenue, according to an online blotter entry.

CSPD said it seized guns including a Glock with a device making it capable of automatic gunfire. It said it also found items recently stolen from a marijuana dispensary.

The suspect, Jaime Gallegos-Payne, is a convicted felon who pleaded guilty to robbery and is prohibited from possessing firearms, according to CSPD.

Police identified Gallegos-Payne as a suspect after arresting a juvenile in early July in connection with a series of auto thefts and burglaries, according to the blotter entry.

Police said Gallegos-Payne was charged with unlawfully providing or permitting a juvenile to possess a handgun, possessing a dangerous or illegal weapon, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violation of a protection order.
