Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic wins another Western Conference player of the month award
January was a mostly good month for Nikola Jokic.
The Nuggets star missed a few games with an elbow issue and an illness, but he averaged 27 points,12.8 rebounds, 11.4 assists and 1.9 steals while shooting 58.5% from the field and 44% from 3-point range in the 14 games the three-time Most Valuable Player did play.
He had eight triple-doubles in the month, and that was good enough to earn Western Conference player of the month for January.
The Nuggets went 10-4 with Jokic in the lineup. He’s averaging a triple-double heading into Wednesday’s game against the Pelicans, posting 29.5 points, 12.9 rebounds, 10.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game for the season.
Jokic won the monthly award for the eighth time of his career, a franchise record.
