Making mulch for community

Joseph, left, and Korrine, right, who declined to give their last names, unload their Christmas tree at Rocky Top Resources, Friday, Jan. 3, 2024. The local wood recycling facility is one of seven TreeCycle locations where community members can drop off their trees for a suggested donation of $5. The program aims to reduce waste by creating mulch out of recycled trees while supporting youth development nonprofits in the community. Specific times and drop-off locations can be found online.
