A Fountain man has been arrested following an investigation of internet child exploitation, according to the Fountain Police Department. 

Officials said Fountain police detectives arrested 23-year-old Shane Michael Anderson on Thursday morning on charges of sexual exploitation of children-distribution material, a class three felony, and sexual exploitation of children-video, moving visual images, motion picture, a class four felony. 

Department officials said Anderson is being held at the El Paso County criminal justice center with no bond.

According to the Thursday afternoon announcement, detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating any additional witnesses or victims surrounding this incident, or any person with pertinent information to the investigation.
