Colorado Springs is forecast for another day of warm weather, but with moderately windy conditions.

“A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to warm our temperatures today, with highs this afternoon warming into the upper 60s,” Meteorologist Alan Rose with Gazette news partner KOAA said.

“Northerly winds will be much weaker today compared to yesterday, with gusts around 20 to 25 mph in the Pikes Peak region. Stronger gusts of 30 to 35 mph can be expected across the eastern parts of the state this afternoon.”

Expect sunny skies and a high of 67 degrees.

According to Rose, temps will increase further Thursday with anticipated highs in the 70s, and even warmer Friday alongside increased wind and fire danger.

“If you’re a fan of the warmth, then you’re going to love Thursday’s forecast. Sunshine, light winds and well above highs will make for a great day. Our high in Colorado Springs is likely to climb into the 70s on Thursday for the first time this year!” Rose said.

“An even warmer day is expected on Friday, but it will come at a cost, with high winds and high fire danger returning to much of Southern Colorado.”

Here’s the full forecast from the National Weather Service.

Thursday: Expect sunny skies and a high of 72 degrees.

Friday: Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast alongside a high of 74 degrees.

Saturday: There’s a 40% chance of showers in the morning. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 52 degrees.

Sunday: Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 56 degrees.
