Colorado Springs weather: Slightly warmer temps Wednesday
Carol Lawrence
Saddle up residents, Colorado Springs will see slightly warmer temps Wednesday accompanied by overcast conditions through the morning and early afternoon.
“Temperatures start today about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday; still cold. Our normal low today would be 30 degrees, but with low- to mid-20s lows, we’re approaching that norm again,” Meteorologist Casey Dorn with Gazette news partner KOAA said.

“Partly cloudy skies begin the day with moisture moving off of the mountains and into the Front Range. I don’t expect rain or snow with this moisture…just some clouds through our morning.”
Expect some cloud coverage and a high of 50 degrees. Winds from the northwest will range between 5 and 10 mph.
Looking ahead to Wednesday night, temperatures are anticipated to drop to the low 20s alongside mostly clear skies.
According to Dorn, breezy conditions will begin to develop Thursday in southern Colorado creating increased fire danger throughout the weekend ahead.
“Fire danger increases for our friends to the south by Friday. In Colorado Springs, that danger will be lower due to higher humidity levels,” Dorn said. “By Saturday, low humidity reaches the Pikes Peak Region with healthy wind gusts both Saturday and Sunday as we sit beneath the jet stream.”
“High fire danger is likely – if you have outdoor plans this weekend, such as camping, plan on skipping the campfire.”
