Scheduled closing dates for Colorado ski areas

While massive, mid-March snow gave the illusion of Colorado’s ski season just beginning, it is in fact nearing its end.

Granted, if spring temperatures don’t rise to bake the slopes, resorts might very well push back closing dates in the weeks ahead. This is what they’ve got scheduled at last check:

March 31: Aspen Buttermilk

April 7: Aspen Highlands, Ski Copper, Crested Butte, Keystone, Powderhorn, Telluride, Wolf Creek

April 14: Aspen Snowmass, Beaver Creek, Echo Mountain, Eldora, Monarch; Purgatory begins opening only Friday-Sunday through April 28

April 21: Aspen Mountain, Steamboat, Vail

April 28: Copper Mountain

May 12: Loveland

As long as conditions allow, typically into late May: Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Winter Park
