Woman facing charges in November triple homicide extradited to Colorado
The woman facing charges for her part in a November triple homicide in Custer County has been extradited to Colorado.
According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, Nancy Rae Medina-Kochis was transferred from a New Mexico jail to El Paso County on Monday.
A report from the El Paso County jail states Medina-Kochis was booked at 6:47 p.m. Monday, nearly two months following her initial arrest alongside 45-year-old Hamne Clark, who is still in custody in New Mexico as of Tuesday morning.
Clark is believed to have shot and killed three victims and injured an additional person in Westcliffe amid an incident allegedly tied to a property dispute on Nov. 20, according to arrest records.
U.S. marshals and New Mexico state police arrested Clark during a “high-risk, felony stop” just outside Albuquerque on Nov. 21.
While Clark is believed to have shot all four victims, Medina-Kochis was in the car at the time of his arrest.
Shortly after Clark’s arrest, Medina-Kochis was arrested on charges of being an accessory to crime. It is unclear what charges she is facing following her extradition.
According to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Marcus Miller, Medina-Kochis is booked in El Paso County on a “courtesy hold,” for the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
