The death of a man whose body was found outside an east Colorado Springs apartment complex late Wednesday is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

The shooting was reported about 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Murray Boulevard near the Shannon Glen Apartments.

The man’s identity was not released.

If the death is ruled a homicide, it would be the city’s seventh this year. At this time last year, 14 homicides had been recorded.
