Ex-Air Force Academy cadet sentenced to 6 months in jail, probation for Boulder rape
A former Air Force cadet convicted of raping a fellow cadet while the two attended a party in Boulder in 2014 was sentenced today to six months in jail and 10 years to life on probation.
Boulder District Judge Judith LaBuda spared Daniel Ryerson, 22, a prison term, instead sentencing him to six months in the Boulder County Jail and 10 years on sex-offender intensive supervised probation.
Ryerson will have to comply with treatment before he can be released from probation, and he will have to register as a sex offender.
LaBuda could have sentenced Ryerson to up to six years in prison.
