It’s Friday night, and the playoffs are here for a handful of teams around the Pikes Peak region.

Gazette Preps is covering the two home games tonight.

Scott Kaniewski will watch Vista Ridge, seeded No. 5 in the 4A playoff bracket, battle Loveland, live from Vista Ridge High School. Give him a follow at @scottkaniewski5.

At District 20 Stadium, it’s No. 8 Discovery Canyon playing host to No. 9 Rifle in a 3A first-round playoff game. Justin Shaw at @jsshaw15 is there and will be providing in-game updates as well.

In addition, we’ll be providing updates for two other games that feature area teams on the road. Palmer Ridge, the No. 11 seed, has already claimed a 39-21 victory over Dakota Ridge. Also, Lewis-Palmer faces a huge test in top-ranked and defending state champ Pueblo East.

And, as always, use #gazettepreps on all things preps tonight.
