Officials have closed Lefthand Canyon Drive at Lee Hill Road near Boulder while they investigate reports of an armed, suicidal person, according to dispatchers.

Police radio traffic indicated that sometime after 10:30 a.m. Monday, investigators found some sort of note in a vehicle that indicated a person was suicidal and armed, possibly with a rifle.

Canine and tactical units were called to the scene, according to police radio traffic. A negotiator is on standby.

Scanner traffic indicated a witness saw someone matching the suspect’s description running naked through Buckingham Park.
