The Falcon School District 49 school board has scheduled two special board meetings next week to handle business that has gone untouched since April.The two meetings are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday in the board room at the Central Administration Building, 10850 Woodmen Road.Many of the items on the agendas date to a meeting in late April that ended when two board members walked out. Subsequent board meetings to handle district business have not had a quorum, so no action could be taken.Included among the action items for Monday’s meeting are technology improvements for the POWER Zone, a charter school contract renewal and Falcon Elementary School innovation plan application.Tuesday’s agenda includes votes for a new board member and the budget for the 2012-13 school year. According to state statute, if a budget for the 2012-13 school year is not approved by the end of the month, about 90 percent of the previous year’s budget will be used to dictate funding.
